ベルギーの大きな祭りは、町の人びと自身が守ってきた中世の行列と謝肉祭です。オレンジを投げるバンシュのジル、モンスの聖ゲオルギウスと竜の戦い、そしてブリュッセルのルネサンス風の行列オメガングがあります。

この地図に載るベルギーの三つの祭りは、いずれもユネスコに認められています。バンシュの謝肉祭は2003年に「人類の口承及び無形遺産の傑作」と宣言されました。モンスのデュカスは、ベルギーとフランスの行列用の巨人と竜としてまとめて記載されたもので、その像は14世紀末に 宗教行列に初めて現れました。ブリュッセルのオメガングは2019年に記載されました。
三つの日付はそれぞれ別の暦にしたがいます。バンシュの謝肉祭は四旬節前の三日間、デュカス（ドゥドゥ）は復活祭から八週後の三位一体の主日、オメガングは7月の第一週です。

For the three days before Lent, the small Walloon town of Binche belongs to its Gilles — up to a thousand men in wax masks and wooden clogs who dance from dawn to drive away evil spirits and, crowned with ostrich plumes, throw oranges to the crowd.

On two summer evenings, Brussels relives the day in 1549 when it dazzled Emperor Charles V — some 1,400 people in Renaissance dress, horsemen, crossbowmen, stilt walkers and giants parade from the Sablon to a grand spectacle on the Grand-Place, with real nobles playing their ancestors.
