O Grande Magal de Touba é a peregrinação anual da confraria muride, uma das quatro ordens sufis do Senegal, e nenhum outro acontecimento do país, religioso ou civil, atrai tanta atenção. A sua data segue o calendário lunar islâmico, de modo que se antecipa cerca de onze dias a cada ano.

On the 18th of Safar, millions of pilgrims of the Mouride brotherhood converge on the holy city of Touba to honour its founder, Sheikh Amadou Bamba, and the anniversary of his exile by the French — the largest celebration in Senegal and one of the most popular pilgrimages in the world.
