حزيران في البرتغال شهر القديسين الشعبيين، يُحتفل بهم في أنحاء البلاد في ليالي القديس أنطونيو والقديس يوحنا والقديس بطرس. وعيدا هذا الأطلس هما عيد القديس أنطونيو في لشبونة، شفيع المدينة، في الثاني عشر والثالث عشر من حزيران، وليلة القديس يوحنا في بورتو في الثالث والعشرين من حزيران.
Festas de Lisboa (Santo António)
On the night of 12 June, Lisbon’s neighbourhoods parade down the Avenida da Liberdade in the Marchas Populares, while the old quarters, hung with garlands and coloured globes, fill with the smell of grilled sardines and sweet basil for Santo António.
