हिद्रेल्लेज़ के वसंत-अनुष्ठानों से लेकर दिसंबर में मेवलेवी दरवेशों के घूर्णन तक, तुर्किये के उत्सव ऋतुओं की लय, इस्लामी परंपरा और कुर्कपिनार की तेल-कुश्ती जैसी सदियों पुरानी प्रतियोगिताओं को मिलाते हैं।

नागरिक जीवन के लिए तुर्किये ग्रेगोरियन पंचांग रखता है, परंतु उसके धार्मिक पर्व इस्लामी चंद्र पंचांग पर चलते हैं और हर वर्ष लगभग ग्यारह दिन पहले सरक जाते हैं; और उसकी कई वसंत-रीतियाँ 21 मार्च तथा 6 मई के आसपास जुटती हैं, जो ऋतु के पुराने संक्रमण-बिंदु हैं।
उसके अनेक उत्सव यूनेस्को की अमूर्त विरासत की सूचियों में हैं — कुर्कपिनार की तेल-कुश्ती, मेसिर माजुनु उत्सव, हिद्रेल्लेज़ और मेवलेवी सेमा मजलिस इनमें हैं — और कई सैकड़ों वर्षों से उसी स्थान पर होते आए हैं।
